Application Requirements For Brazilian Visas In Minneapolis
When applying for a Brazilian visa in Minneapolis, it’s essential to meet the specific documentation and eligibility requirements to ensure a smooth and successful application process. Whether you’re traveling for tourism, business, or another purpose, you’ll need to provide a valid passport, a completed visa application form, a recent passport-sized photo, and additional documents based on your visa type, such as an invitation letter or proof of travel arrangements. Travel Visa Pro simplifies this process by guiding you through each step and ensuring all your documents meet the consulate’s standards. Here are the requirements to apply for a Brazil visa:
- e-Visa Notice: Using this program, applicant does not send any physical documents to Travel Visa Pro. The entire process is handled electronically. When the visa is issued, applicant will be provided an electronic confirmation to print and carry while traveling.
- Business Cover Letter: The applicant travelling to Brazil for business reasons (i.e. meetings, consulting, auditing, site visit, signing contracts, cruise or airline crew members, etc.) must submit a Business Cover Letter (BCL) from a US-based employer or Brazilian host-company.
A BCL can be a scanned document on company’s letterhead signed by a company’s official. The letter must state:
• visit dates and duration,
• purpose of the trip (description of business activities to be done),
• applicant’s job title, job description and monthly salary;
• contact details of the host company (name, address, phone)
• contact details of an individual (name, title, address, phone, email) at the host company.
• Affirmation of company’s financial responsibility of the applicant during the trip;
• A statement indicating that “no technical work, assistance or training” will be provided during stay in Brazil. Such activities require a VITEM temporary work visa. - Notice For Placing Order for E-visa: When placing your order online you will be asked to select inbound and return shipping options. As E-visa’s are handled electronically and no physical documents need to be sent, if only ordering E-visa(s), select “Applicant will handle shipping” to avoid unnecessary shipping fees.
- Digital Photo Requirement: Applicant must submit one (1) digital, color, passport style photograph (neutral expression, no glasses may be worn). See an example link below.
Alternatively, you can take a good quality “selfie” with your smartphone against light plain background and email to us at evisa@travelvisapro.com. FOR $15 Photo Service fee, we will resize and retouch it for you to fit requirements perfectly.
- Proof of Travel: Applicant must submit a flight reservation from a travel agency or online booking tool (such as an e-confirmation) showing the entry and the departure from Brazil.
- Brazil e-Visa Application Worksheet: Applicant must submit one completed visa application worksheet.
- Scanned Copy of Passport: Applicant must submit a color scan the valid, signed passport. See example of correctly scanned passport copy on the link below.
Passport must be valid for at least SIX (6) months after the intended arrival to Brazil.
Passport must also have at least one (1) completely blank page for visa/entry stamping upon arrival in Brazil. Amendment pages do not count.
- Applicants Under 18yrs: Although applicant may be submitting documents along with other family members, when submitted to an embassy or consulate, applications are treated individually. If applicant is under 18 years old, please view the following link.
- Photo Requirement: Applicant must submit two (2) identical, color, passport style photographs (no glasses may be worn). The photos must be recent and generally should not be the same used for the passport itself.

Simply email them to orders@travelvisapro.com with the applicants full name and order number in the subject line. Additional $20 Photo Printing fee will be added to your request.
- Proof of Sufficient Funds: Applicant must submit a NOTARIZED copy of their most recent bank statement. The statement must show the applicant’s name as the account holder, the balance of the account and the date of the statement.
The available balance should be greater than $200 USD per day in country. For example, if spending 10 days in the country, statement should show balance in excess of $2,000 USD.

Apply For An Expedited Brazil Visa In Minneapolis
Obtaining a visa for Brazil is a critical step in your travel planning, particularly for U.S. citizens. Brazil typically requires a Tourist Visa for travelers planning to stay for up to 90 days. The application process involves submitting a completed visa application form, your passport, recent photograph, and proof of travel arrangements, such as flight reservations and hotel bookings. It is advisable to begin this process well in advance of your intended travel date to allow for processing times, which can vary.
While preparing your application, double-check that all documents are in order. Incomplete applications or discrepancies in the information provided can lead to delays or rejections. Be mindful of the visa’s expiration date, as entry into Brazil is only permitted if your visa is valid at the time of entry. Additionally, Brazil imposes certain requirements concerning vaccinations, particularly for yellow fever if you are coming from certain countries, so ensure your vaccinations are up to date and have documentation ready if needed.
It’s also essential to understand the costs associated with obtaining the Brazilian visa. Visa fees can differ based on your nationality, the type of visa, and whether you are applying for expedited processing. Travel Visa Pro offers rush services to expedite your application, a useful option for last-minute travelers or those who may have an unexpected need for travel. This service not only saves you time but also reduces the stress often associated with the visa application process.
Upon arriving in Brazil, you should be prepared for customs checks, which can require presenting your travel itinerary, hotel confirmations, and proof of financial means. Be sure to keep all your essential documents accessible during your travels. Lastly, familiarize yourself with the local laws and regulations, including any restrictions on bringing substances such as drugs or certain food items into the country to avoid any legal troubles.
Traveling to Brazil can be an exciting adventure, and being thorough in your visa application process will set the stage for a smoother journey. Guide To Traveling To Brazil With A Visa
When planning a trip to Brazil, understanding the visa requirements is crucial for smooth travel. As a U.S. citizen, you will need to apply for a visa prior to your arrival unless you qualify for a visa waiver, which is not applicable when traveling for tourism, business, or educational purposes. The most common types of visas are the Tourist Visa (VITUR) and the Business Visa (VITEM). It’s essential to gather all necessary documentation, including a valid passport, a recent passport-sized photo, and proof of travel arrangements, such as flight itineraries and hotel reservations.
Once you’ve submitted your application, keep in mind that the processing time can vary. For those who have tight schedules, Travel Visa Pro offers expedited visa services that can significantly cut down waiting times. However, be advised that rush applications require meticulous documentation, so ensure that all forms are completed accurately to avoid delays. Missing or incorrect information can lead to further complications, so double-check every detail in your application.
During your travels in Brazil, always carry a copy of your visa and other essential documents. Authorities may ask to see proof of your legal status in the country. Additionally, be aware of the rules regarding your entry and exit; overstaying your visa can result in fines or complications with future travel. It is advisable to make a note of the visa expiration date and plan your departure accordingly.
Another key point is to stay informed about local customs and regulations, as Brazil has distinct cultural norms that may differ from the United States. It’s a good practice to learn some basic Portuguese phrases, as English might not be widely spoken in every area. Engaging respectfully with the local culture can enhance your travel experience, making your time in Brazil all the more enjoyable and enriching.
Finally, contacting Travel Visa Pro can simplify the entire visa application process. Our experienced team is dedicated to assisting you from start to finish, ensuring you have all the guidance you need while navigating the complexities of visa applications. We understand the stress that can accompany international travel, and we are here to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible.
